PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
In this Medical Crossfire, expert faculty, including a dermatologist, a rheumatologist, a primary care provider, and a patient advocate, will discuss how to optimize and individualize the management of psoriatic arthritis (PsA) through a multidisciplinary approach. Despite substantial progress made in the understanding and treatment of PsA in recent years, numerous studies indicate practice gaps and barriers in the management of this lifelong condition. This videotaped panel discussion will address these gaps and barriers by reviewing PsA screening tools, the importance of early diagnosis, and the development of therapeutic plans that address disease severity, comorbidities, and quality of life. The value of patient education and engagement as well as the importance of patient-centered care will also be addressed.
