This educational activity will explore current guidelines for managing hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 3 infected patients, identify barriers to accessing HCV treatment, and discuss strategies for HCV medication adherence.The content for this activity is based on questions and comments from participants at a recent educational symposium on this topic.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this application-based educational activity, participants should be able to:Apply study data and recommendations from current guidelines for managing HCV genotype 3 infected patients including those who are harder to treat.Identify barriers to accessing HCV treatment for patients and providers.Discuss strategies for ensuring medication adherence and treatment success in all patients with HCV infection including those who have had previous treatment failure.
