PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This interactive, case-based “Immersion Learning” professional education web program is designed to enhance clinicians’ skills in addressing the relevant medical, communication, and behavioral context of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) management. The program will include a didactic video presentation synced to PowerPoint slides with three modules: an interactive case study in two parts that will take approximately an hour each to complete and a moderated discussion with a patient with IPF, now post lung transplant and a roundtable discussion that will also take approximately an hour each to view in their entirety. Clinicians will learn to apply powerful and underutilized patient-centered communication skills to diagnose, evaluate, make shared decisions with patients about treatment, and assess and enhance adherence to medications for IPF.
