Recognizing the Connection: A View Into the Parallels Between Asthma and Nasal Polyps – Treatment Minutes is an enduring activity which will cover the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with asthma and the correlation between asthma and nasal polyps. This CME initiative is designed to meet the educational needs of otolaryngologists and pulmonologists involved in the healthcare of patients with severe asthma and nasal polyps. The format mimics the popular Sixty Minutes documentary show and includes a moderator and faculty panel including physicians in Allergy & Immunology, Otolaryngology and Pediatric Otolaryngology, and Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the program, participants should be able to:Discuss the molecular biology underlying the inflammation of asthma and nasal polyps and associated therapeutic targetsReveal potential therapeutic points of collaboration between pulmonologists and otolaryngologistsAssess patients’ level of control, severity of disease, and exacerbation risk in the management of asthma, reveal the commonalities between asthma and nasal polyps, and discuss potential patient specific treatment optionsDescribe the clinical trial data of current and emerging antibody targeted therapies and potential biomarkers for patients with moderate-to-severe asthma and nasal polyps
